PAA announces Raymond Bromley 2026 Chairman of the Board

Pennsylvania Automotive Association announces 2026 Chairman of the Board, Lehman Volvo President, Raymond Bromley

A quote from the Pennsylvania Automotive Association's announcement:

"Harrisburg – Mr. Raymond Bromley, President of Lehman Volvo Cars, in Mechanicsburg and York, Pennsylvania, assumed the chairmanship of the Pennsylvania Automotive Association (PAA) Board of Directors on January 1, 2026, succeeding 2025 Chairman Matt Smith of Laurel Auto Group in Johnstown.

A trade organization representing more than 1,000 franchised new car, powersport, and heavy duty truck dealerships throughout Pennsylvania, the association works with the General Assembly and the Governor’s Administration to educate policy makers on the concerns of its dealership members.

Ray Bromley has served on the PAA Board of Directors for ten years, most recently in the role of Vice Chairman. He began his career in the automotive industry in February of 1985 at Towbin Chevrolet in Trenton, New Jersey.  He then worked for the Pitcairn Organization, and served as the General Manager of Cherry Hill Volvo in New Jersey.

In 1997, he became the General Manager at Lehman Volvo Saab, and purchased the business from Ken Lehman in January of 2005.  The Lehman Motors Automotive Group originated in the 1930s, when Earl B. Lehman began his very first used car business in Lawn, Pennsylvania. Over the next few decades, the business grew to include several automotive franchises, including Volvo Cars. Today, Ray Bromley owns and operates stores in Mechanicsburg and York.

'The vehicle sales industry is critical to Pennsylvania’s economy, which is why it’s so important that the industry works collaboratively with state regulatory agencies to ensure customers have the best car-buying and ownership experience possible' said Mr. Bromley. 'I look to continue the excellent work of the association and its members to advocate for the franchised dealers that are the bedrock of the communities we serve.'

Ray has also been a long-time organizer and supporter of the PA Auto Show in Harrisburg, serving on the Board of the Harrisburg Automotive Trade Association and Auto Show Committee, and was President of the association for several years.  He currently also serves on the Retailer Advisory Board for Volvo. His years of industry experience will be a guide as the association works to ensure the best possible environment for customers, dealers, and their nearly 97,000 employees throughout Pennsylvania.

A generous supporter of the local community, Ray is also the Chair of the Advisory Committee for Calvary Chapel Church Harrisburg-West Shore.  Ray and his wife, Roxane, have been married 22 years and reside in Mechanicsburg.  They have a daughter, Emma (21).

'Ray is one of the most dedicated dealers I’ve met, and his commitment to the industry will serve him well as PAA’s Chairman,' said Melanie Stine, spokesperson for PAA.  'The industry faces challenges that range from affordability of new vehicles to shortages of qualified technicians.  We look forward to Ray’s leadership as we work to address these issues, and we have great confidence in him."

We are thankful to Raymond for his expert leadership, exceptional customer service, and his generous community engagement. Working for Raymond Bromley feels like working with Mr. Bromley; He is present, engaged, and makes every effort to assist both our internal teams and our customers. While, yes, he is our boss at the end of the day - you will see genuine smiles accompanied by authentic laughter throughout our buildings. There is a presence within the Lehman Volvo Cars rooftops that feels like home - because leadership has shaped a culture to care and improve.

The "trickle down" affect is present for our customers as well. Where most dealership owners charge credit card fees to remove profit-loss; Mr. Bromley chooses not to. "As far as I see it, [credit card charge fees] are the cost of doing business. It is not our customers' responsibility to pay our dues for how we do business," Raymond said during a meeting. Only one of many prominent examples to display the value Raymond Bromley places toward serving every customer with exceptional experience.

With his appointment to Chairman of the Board for the Pennsylvania Automotive Association, we look forward to Raymond's leadership making an impact to benefit residents of Pennsylvania by working with law & policy-makers on solving complex issues with the same intensity of care for those who feel the impact. We at Lehman Volvo Cars of Mechanicsburg & York believe in Mr. Bromley's ability and look forward to him driving results to benefit Pennsylvania.
